Greetings From Sandusky, Ohio!

Food Safety is one of (if not THE) leading issue for fruit and vegetable growers across the country. Ohio’s leaders are in the process of adopting the Ohio Produce Marketing Agreement (OPMA). Many of the sessions at this year’s Congress focus on this agreement. In addition, OSU Extension is presenting an educational program on Good Agricultural Practices (GAPs), including the four core standards for food safety on produce farms: water, inputs, traceability and good handling practices.

Keep reading for information on nine sessions across the state of Ohio in the OSU Extension Education and Research Areas. These sessions will provide the basic GAPs training for produce growers.
